FCC Construcción present at the signing of the agreement for Line 3 of the Seville Metro

FCC Construcción has been present at the signing of the collaboration agreement for the financing of the Northern Section of Line 3 of the Seville Metro, which unlocks a work that is very necessary for the city.

The agreement has been signed by the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and by the Minister of Development, Articulation of the Territory and Housing.

The Northern Section of Line 3 will reach the Prado de Sebastián from Pino Montano, one of the most populated neighborhoods in the capital with more than 30,000 inhabitants, and it will cross neighborhoods such as Los Mares or Los Carteros and other busy ones such as La Macarena, the area de Capuchinos or Puerta Carmina to reach the Prado de San Sebastián, which is an authentic communication hub of the capital.

With this act the North Section starts and the works of the technical branch will soon be underway, a basic infrastructure that connects the workshops and depots with the start of the North Section of Line 3 in Pinto Montano/Los Mares. The amount awarded for this branch is 6.4 million euros, its execution period is 11.5 months and its construction will generate around a hundred jobs.

After that, the successive subsections will be tendered, which will be a total of six, from Pinto Montano to Los Mares to continue from Los Carteros to San Lázaro, Hospital Macarena, Macarena/Capuchinos, María Auxiliadora/Puerta Carmona and Jardines de Murillo/Prado de San Sebastián.

When the work is finished, Seville will have 7.5 kilometers of new line and twelve stations, eleven of them underground. It is a work of great social and economic scope for the capital of Andalusia and which has an investment of just over 1,300 million.

Line 3 of the Metro will connect all the large hospitals in the capital, in addition to the fact that the start-up of this section is an environmental milestone that reaffirms our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and the Green Revolution.

In addition to this infrastructure, other key projects for mobility in the province are going to be developed: the Alcalá de Guadaíra tramway or the projects for the construction of two reserved platforms between Seville and Aljarafe for buses and vehicles with more than two passengers.
