Each year, the National R&D Department coordinates the certification process for innovative initiatives carried out at the various work sites, once they have been completed. This process is made possible thanks to the voluntary collaboration of the teams involved in each project, whose participation is essential to achieving the results obtained.

The certification of R&D&I activities brings significant benefits to FCC Construcción, including: 

• A benchmark in tenders: it provides certified projects that add value in tenders, particularly in public sector tenders where innovation is specifically assessed.
• Tax advantages: enables the company to claim corporate tax deductions for R&D&I activities.
• Strengthening of the Innovation Management System (ISO 56001): expands the scope of activities covered by our certified system, consolidating the company’s innovative positioning.

During the 2024 financial year, the following certifications were completed: a new intelligent technical planning platform; the development of an advanced IT tool for critical business flows; the design of an IT tool for managing project portfolios with high data volumes; and competitive improvement of the integrated business management system process through low-code development.
