FCC Construcción has presented its digitisation strategy at the Esri Spain GIS Conference, a strategy applied to project management and control using GIS platforms and connected digital twins. The presentation, entitled ‘Centralised tracking and monitoring of construction projects using digital twins,’ was given by Javier Tordera, Digital Implementation Coordinator of the BIM Management Department of FCC Construcción's technical services.

During the session, he highlighted how the company is standardising and centralising processes in different national and international projects at a corporate level, integrating real-time data from sensors, equipment, production control and auscultation into a single platform. This approach enables more agile decision-making, greater safety on site and optimisation of resources in line with corporate objectives of sustainability and operational excellence.

Success stories were presented, such as the Porto Metro and the A465 in Wales, where the use of GIS allows incidents on site to be visualised, monitored and anticipated, ensuring more efficient and traceable execution.

FCC Construcción continues to strengthen its position as a benchmark in the digital transformation of the sector, moving towards a model of connected, data-driven construction sites with a global vision of the entire project cycle.
