FCC Construction presented the R&D&i project SOSTEVAL-TEC (Consortium Tractor Effect project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Federde Operational Program of the Community of Madrid), on behalf of its consortium, during the 27th National Symposium on Roads and Local Administration Works (Vyodeal), held in the auditorium of the Barcelona Industrial School.

In this edition of Vyodeal, sustainability acquired great relevance, especially from the perspectives of safety and decarbonization of local roads, but also from its social dimension. Roads connect communities in various ways, not only through mobility, but through their heritage, cultural, historical and even scenic value.e

For all these reasons, the R&D&i project “SOSTEVAL-TEC” (RESEARCH INTO INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND A COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND EVALUATION OF SUSTAINABILITY IN THE DIFFERENT PHASES OF CIVIL WORK) was outstandingly received, as which was presented as a very useful tool to evaluate sustainability in road management. In addition, it was highlighted as an excellent opportunity to contribute to safer, greener and more connected mobility, the central theme of the technical session in which the project was presented.

SOSTEVAL-TEC, thanks to its innovative automated evaluation system and the most advanced digitalized solutions, allows obtaining an accurate diagnosis of the sustainability of a civil works project in any of the phases of its life cycle. This facilitates more effective decision-making to prevent negative impacts and optimize positive effects, achieving the integration of the project into its environmental and social environment.
