The National R&D department manages the certification process for innovative actions in the different work centres, once they have been completed. 

The certification process relies on the voluntary collaboration of the different work centres involved in each project, without which this would not be possible. 

This whole certification process has important advantages for the company:

• Being able to accredit R&D&I projects in tenders for works and other contracts in these types of activities, providing additional points in some government tenders.
• To obtain tax deductions for R&D&I in corporate tax.
• Increase the areas of activity in R&D&I of the R&D&I Management System certificate in accordance with the UNE 166002:2021 Standard, AENOR Certificate.

In the last year of 2023, the following certifications have been completed:

• Remodelling of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium: ‘controlled support arrangement for large civil structures’.
• Remodelling of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium: ‘development of structural fastening devices for the cladding of a three-dimensional façade’.
• Atenea (new Discon): ‘competitive improvement of the integrated business management system process through low-code’.
