FCC Construcción collects the REDI membership badge

The REDI association (Business Network for Diversity and LGBTI Inclusion) in the act of celebrating its fifth anniversary gave FCC Construcción the badge of adhesion to this entity.

In the meeting The Triumph of Diversity, a review of the work carried out on LGBTI diversity in Spain since the association was formalized in 2018 was made, and through which it has achieved a paradigm shift within the business environment never seen in our country. To this day, interest in LGBTI diversity and inclusion has grown significantly and already occupies a prominent place in the diversities worked by large companies along with gender equality, the inclusion of people with disabilities, etc. Most of these companies agree that these policies have helped them improve the work environment and take corporate culture and leadership to the next level.

According to a study recently published by IPSOS, 14% of the Spanish population identifies with affective-sexual and gender orientations, identities or expressions that are different from the normative ones, and this percentage increases significantly among millennials and generation Z. This is a It shows that young people have grown up in environments with more references and are beginning to break down barriers.

Advances in terms of LGBTI inclusion are not only taking place in Spain, which is why representatives of the group in different countries have explained during the meeting the work that is being carried out in other parts of the planet, and all have agreed on the important role they play companies as responsible for building more inclusive, respectful and safe organizations and societies, avoiding a setback in the rights that have cost so much to achieve.

The event concluded with a welcome to the companies that have joined REDI over the last six months: large companies such as Capgemini, CEVA Logistics, COFARES, COFIDIS, DKV Seguros, DONTE GROUP, EDPR, FCC Construcción, Globalvia, GreenPowerMonitor a DNV company, Grupo Dia, Hilton, Iberia, ID Logistics, L'Oréal, McDonald's, Minsait, NEORIS, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, Technip Energies Iberia and WTW, the latter reincorporating itself as a great founding company; the medium-sized Alpiq Spain, Bird&Bird, COLGATE-PALMOLIVE, KIWA-IVAC Spain and Onclusive; and small companies Miguel Vieito Office, Enagás Renovable, GAY LAWYERS, GESI, Grupo Init, Lazard Fund Managers Spain and ecological TRIPLE Coworking.
