FCC Construcción takes centre stage at Estadios Summit 2025

FCC Construcción took centre stage at Estadios Summit 2025, a key forum on innovation and business in sports venues, attended by executives from clubs, federations, architecture and engineering firms, and public and private operators.

FCC Construcción addressed the entire life cycle of stadiums and sports centres, from strategic planning, design and construction to daily operations, with a comprehensive vision that connects architectural design with financial sustainability, the fan experience and urban impact. It participated in presentations and round tables focused on the transformation of stadiums into multifunctional assets capable of generating profitability 365 days a year. Issues such as the coexistence of sport, concerts and complementary uses, the model of academies and sports cities, and the role of the stadium as an element of urban regeneration and territorial brand positioning were discussed. The focus was on the fan experience and hospitality, with special attention to personalisation, the use of applied technology and inclusive experiences.

For José Antonio Madrazo, from FCC Construcción, the project stage is fundamental. You can't rush a project; you have to be very clear about what you want to do and why. ‘As a construction company, my advice is to only take on solid projects.’ To do this, it is vital to approach the project at the earliest possible stage. ‘In this sense, collaborative projects, which we construction companies advocate so much, are very useful because they put us on a par with the project designer,’ adds Madrazo. From there, rigorous planning is needed, which does not mean rigid. It means making use of technology so that a project can be flexible. Planning, collaboration and involving construction companies in the project phase are the keys to ensuring that stadium construction work is completed on time and in the right way.

Estadios Summit has positioned itself as an essential forum for any professional involved in the stadium ecosystem. Generating knowledge and dialogue to transform sports venues into economic, social and urban engines.
