FCC Construcción, through its DigiChecks project, participates in the 3rd International Building Digital Twin Congress
FCC Construcción participated on May 3, 2023, through its DigiChecks project, in the third Building Digital Twins International Conference (3BDTIC) organized at The Beacon in Antwerp (Belgium). The conference was organized by the Building Digital Twin Association (BDTA), one of the partners in the DigiChecks consortium.
The event was dedicated to Building Digital Twins and aimed to showcase the latest digital twin technologies and innovative solutions in the construction industry. During the conference, there were workshops that included Ontology and Semantics, Creating Digital Twins for Infrastructures, Digital Projects (DigiChecks) and Privacy and Metrics. In addition, there were four speakers and several round tables that dealt with urban planning and digital twins: use cases and European projects.
Juan Ramon Mena, Digital-BIM Manager of FCC Construcción, spoke about Digichecks and the current status of the project. He focused on the objectives of the project and how Digichecks can manage any type of permits in the construction industry, following the different principles that the consortium has agreed to develop the project.
Mathias Everaert, Principal Consultant at Neanex, one of the DigiChecks partners, spoke about how Neanex's Digital Twin Register supports the energy transition and mentioned how Neanex is contributing to the DigiChecks project. Neanex focuses on the interoperability and semantic model of the DigiChecks framework and shares knowledge and experience on linked data and ontologies and how to apply them in construction projects.
DigiChecks' sister projects, ACCORD and CHEK, have participated in the event. Both European projects are funded under the same call as DigiChecks, in "HORIZON-CL4-2021-TWIN-TRANSITION-01-10". Keynote speakers were Rita Lavikka from ACCORD and Jantien Stoter from CHEK.
