FCC Construcción has been winner of the works of urbanization of the first phase of Los Berrocales (Madrid). He contract has an amount of 35 million euros and a term of 20-month execution.

These works will begin early 2021 and it is expected that those owners who want to build they will be able to do so from the third quarter of 2022, through simultaneous execution.
This first stage includes the first and third phases and will involve the construction of about 10,500 homes, of which about 1,200 will be assigned to the city council for social rent.

In total and in this area of Los Berrocales, located southeast of Madrid, there will be 22,287 homes, of which half will have some type of public protection. He project, which will be developed in six phases and for fifteen years until 2034, foresees a total investment of 3,000 million euros. The agreement that was approved by Madrid City Council at the end of March 2019, contemplates the urbanization of 8.31M square meters, of which 495,741 square meters will correspond to systems external generals assigned, while the remaining 7.8 M square meters they will be interior soil. The total buildable area is 3.3 Mm2, of which 2.25 Mm2 will have a residential use. Regarding endowments, they will occupy a total of 6.08 Mm2, in the 2.15 Mm2 of green areas, 1.99 Mm2 of equipment and public services, 1.71 Mm2 of infrastructure and 228,830 square meters to social integration housing (VIS). Los Berrocales will also have 639,057 square meters of industrial park, 235,442 square meters of offices, 219,969 square meters of tertiary uses.
