FCC Construcción and Convensa have participated in the inauguration of the Madrid-Galicia High Speedway on the Pedralba-Ourense section. The opening ceremony was attended by His Majesty King Felipe VI, together with the President of the Government, and the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, together with the president of ADIF. On behalf of FCC Construcción, Jose A Madrazo, director of Spain, Portugal and the industrial area of FCC Construcción was present.

FCC Construcción and Convensa have developed, within the Pedralba-Ourense section, the Bolaños tunnels, the only tunnels executed with a TBM within the aforementioned section, as well as in the assembly of the track between Campobecerros-Taboadela.

FCC Construcción and Convensa have been executing the high speed in Galicia since 2001, with the two sections of the Atlantic axis between Santiago and Padrón, and later in 2005 the execution of the section between Carballiño and Maside began and the subsequent assembly of the track between O Irixo and Santiago within the Ourense-Santiago and continue with three sections of the accesses to Vigo and the Vacariza-Rialiño section of the Atlantic axis.
