"The incorporation of FCC Industrial notably increases our technological capabilities and represents an important step in our expansion as a national cluster," said the president of the CID, Carlos Besoy.
The CID, with headquarters in Santander, is a pioneering initiative in Spain. Its main objective is to contribute to the reinforcement of the technological and industrial base at the service of the Defense of Spain. With almost sixty partners, mostly companies, but also research and knowledge centers and public entities, the CID already has a presence in Cantabria, Galicia, Asturias, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Castilla y León, Madrid, Valencia and Andalusia. Among the latest additions, it is worth highlighting two important companies in the defense sector with international projection, such as Navantia and Indra. It also has a dozen collaborating entities, including the Ministry of Defense and the National Intelligence Center (CNI).
