FCC Industrial Mexico concludes campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence"

In conjunction with the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" on 25 November, FCC Industrial Mexico launched the campaign: “16 días de Activismo Contra la Violencia Hacia las Mujeres y las Niñas” (16 Days of Activism Against Women and Girls).

FCC Industrial Mexico concludes campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence"

This campaign aims to eradicate any form of violence towards women by asking every company that collaborates with FCC Industrial to convey to their employees the need to achieve gender equality.

Activities carried out during the campaign included the distribution of informative leaflets, awareness-raising days on the different works carried out by FCC Industrial Mexico, creation of notice boards, as well as badges and orange coloured bows attached to the employees' work uniforms and vehicles. Orange coloured badges were also distributed to men and women in the areas where FCC Industrial is carrying out its work.

The campaign's success lies in the collaboration of each and every one of the employees, and from this key stems their slogan: "Violence against women and girls can indeed be eradicated".

FCC Industrial committed to equality.

This campaign serves as element that is incorporated to the equality and diversity policies implemented by the company's Human Resources management. This helps to promote the professional performance of employees under the protective umbrella of equal opportunities and the promotion of effective equality.

This year, the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality awarded FCC Industrial with the Seal of Distinction "Equality in the Workplace". This mark of excellence acts as an incentive and gives recognition to companies committed to ensuring equality, which have implemented policies with this aim across all areas of the business.

This seal is a continuation of the equality accolade received by FCC Construcción in 2009, which was the first company in the sector to implement an equality plan.
