FCC Industrial renews its Quality and Environmental Management System under the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards
FCC Industrial has become the first company of FCC Group and one of the first in its sector to obtain the certificate that accredits quality management under the new ISO 9001:2015 standard, as well as environmental management under the new ISO 14001:2015 standard.
It is a great milestone and a clear reflection of the commitment of FCC Industrial to achieving excellence in its activities regarding quality and to protect the environment in its operations.
The new ISO 9001:2015 standard entails some important changes. The most significant is the incorporation of risk management and risk-based focus in Quality Management systems. Furthermore, the new standard looks to understand the global context of the organisation based on greater stakeholder interaction, the alignment of the company's quality objectives with its strategic objectives, a greater control over all the processes and a greater degree of definition as regards design and development activities, all with the commitment and participation of senior management.
One of the main aspects of the new environmental management standard implemented in FCC Industrial, ISO 14001:2015, includes the planning of risks associated to threats and opportunities. As such, the risk acts as an environmental risk prevention tool.
The main aim of FCC Industrial is to control the company's processes and activities with the highest quality standards, resulting in greater client satisfaction. As such, FCC Industrial is an FCC Group company that is committed to the environment, making sustainability a business strategy.
