FCC Industrial wins new contracts from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of the Interior
The Spanish Ministry of Defence (Army) has awarded the framework agreement for the supply of spares for its simulation and remote-control systems to FCC Industrial. The contract, which is for three years, is worth €544,500. The FCC Group's industrial firm will manufacture and supply the simulator spares and controls (MiniSamson controls, main control panel grips, Pizarro controls, Centauro controls, Leopardo controls and VEC simulator controls).
Once again, the Ministry of Defence — specifically the Arms and Materiel Department (DGAM) — has awarded to FCC its research and development services for operational-level C2-ISR interoperability software (ICINOP). The contract, for one year, is worth €300,000. FCC Industrial will research and develop the software in the area of C4ISR information systems. It will analyse the interoperability of the operations cycle at the strategic and intelligence levels. Software will subsequently be developed to extend NATO's TOPFAS system on a national scale. Finally, experiments will be carried out during exercises or events with operational involvement. It is worth noting that the TOPFAS tool itself has also been developed FCC Industrial.
Finally the Ministry of the Interior (Traffic Department) has awarded the company the contract for maintenance and certification of its helicopter unit's flight simulator. The two-year contract, with an option to extend it for a further two years, is worth €148,104. The works correspond to maintaining the flight simulator for the Eurocopter AS-355 NP helicopter, as well as services to assure the renewal of certification by the State Air Safety Agency and FNPT II MCC qualification during the contract term.
FCC Industrial has more than 25 years' experience in the design, engineering and development of systems, to provide a broad set of solutions in the industry, transport, defence and infrastructure sectors.
