FCC takes creativity to La Valdeza

The first Curso de Artesanías Manuales de Balcón (Balcón Arts and Crafts Course) came to a close on 22 April. The course was developed by FCC Construcción in collaboration with the National Institute of Vocational Training for Human Development (INADEH) in the surrounding areas of the La Valdeza quarry, an area located to the west of the province of Panama.

The course, which lasted 185 hours, was attended by 17 female residents from the areas of La Valdeza, 19 de Abril and el Coco who were taught by Victorina Mina, a trainer at INADEH.

The participants learned to make handicrafts with recycled materials; an initiative that strengthens the sustainability commitment of FCC Construcción, a company committed to looking after the environment.
