FCC takes part in the report "Spanish companies create value. CSR in Latin America"

On 21 September, Casa América played host to the presentation ceremony of the report "Spanish companies create value. Corporate Social Responsibility in Latin America.”, which was drawn up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

It features an analysis of activities carried out by Spanish companies in Latin America regarding transparency and good governance, environmental protection and social action for development.

For the first time, this report compiles a selection of the most important high-impacting CSR projects from very distinct areas.

FCC has collaborated with this publication which gathers FCC Construcción success stories in Latin America, such as biodiversity protection efforts at the Port of Açu in Brazil, the reforestation program linked to the dredging project of the Bogota River in Colombia, and the "My School First" program in collaboration with the Instituto Rubiano in Panama.

"Sustainable companies have more appealable to investors. Competitiveness and sustainability are two sides of the same coin", pointed out the President of Forética, Alberto Durán López, who chaired the ceremony alongside Minister José Manuel García-Margallo, the Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fátima Báñez and the Chairman of the Spanish Business Council for Competitiveness and President of Telefónica, César Alierta.
