FCC takes part in the 10th edition of the Railway PRO Technology and Services Forum

The Romanian Railway Club in collaboration with the Romanian Railway Industry Association (AIF) and the Association for Metropolitan Mobility (MMA), organised the tenth edition of the Railway PRO Technology and Services Forum.

It was attended by more than 150 people, who were interested in the objective analysis of the railway sector in Romania conducted through an exchange of dialogue between strategists, railway sector experts, representatives from the Romanian Ministry of Transport, representatives from the European Commission, infrastructure managers, railway operators and international organisations in this field. Also in attendance were international and regional contractors, systems integrators and engineering companies, together with representatives from the public sector and academics, who spoke about the major projects that are being developed in the Romanian market and in Central and Eastern Europe.

FCC gave a presentation as part of the section 'Construction Technology and Railway Projects in Urban Areas', which was led by Cristina Parvu, Business Relations Manager in Romania; and Rogelio Sabaté, Project Manager on the railway sections currently undergoing construction in Romania.

FCC has been involved in the construction industry in Romania for more than ten years. Throughout this time, the company has left its mark on individual projects and has generated more than 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, implementing major projects such as Line 5 of the Bucharest Metro and the two railway sections of Transylvania: Sighisoara-Atel Section and the Atel-Micasasa Section, under the refurbishment plan of the Brasov-Simeria railway in Romania, which forms part of the IV Corridor of the ten Pan-European Transport Corridors.

Additionally, given its experience and skills, FCC has become a crucial partner for its Romanian clients in the development of transport infrastructure in Romania, providing the necessary technical support and proposing reliable solutions which enhance the quality of the works and the lives of its people.
