FCC wins the contract for the improvement of the Dec de Recer (shelter dam) of the Port Olímpic of Barcelona for an amount of 9.65 million euros. Eleven companies presented themselves to the tender, carried out by Barcelona d'Infraestructures Municipals (Bimsa).

The main objective of this project is to reduce the impact of storms in this part of the Barcelona coastline, since the waves exceed the current protection.

This action is one of the most important of those contemplated in the municipal reform plan of the Port Olímpic.

The project will last a year and a half and are part of the investment that the Barcelona City Council will make, to transform the space, integrate it into the city and recover the use for residents.

Among the changes that the area will experience are the substitution of a nightlife and tourism model for another based on sports, sailing and outreach.
