The training course for new heavy equipment operators conducted by FCC and the National Institute of Vocational Training for Human Development (INADEH) was successfully completed
FCC has completed a training course carried out in collaboration with the National Institute of Vocational Training for Human Development (INADEH) which was aimed at training new heavy equipment operators, who conducted their field work training at the La Valdeza quarry, located in the district of La Chorrera.
Through the agreement entered into between FCC and INADEH, more than 120 students were able to see their dreams come true. After a four-year wait for their field work training, FCC provided the institution with the necessary construction equipment for the students to develop the practical side of everything they learned in the classroom.
The field work training began on 25 May and each group was assigned an INADEH instructor who supervised their progress until they successfully completed the course. They were then presented with a certificate stating that they were qualified to operate the different machines that the country's construction companies require, and thus opt for a better quality of life.
The closing ceremony of the course was attended by Modaldo Tuñón, Director of INADEH. Juan Bravo (Deputy Director of INADEH) and Max Alexander Chong (Director of Machinery for FCC Centroamérica), noting FCC's permanent and continuous commitment to corporate citizens and in making the quarry facilities available to INADEH for its students to carry out practical work sessions, stated that FCC further reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility, which the company carries out for the benefit of citizens.
Chong, an engineer, added that for several years now FCC has become part of the communities located near the quarry, becoming involved in different activities relating to education-training, the environment, sport, infrastructure and health, which are actions that respond to the needs of the local residents. With this initiative, FCC continues along its path of cooperation with public institutions to ensure the training and development of the people of Panama.
