Health and Safety Good Practices Report 2024

It is a premise for FCC Construction Division to carry out its activities with the highest level of safety for all that this implies for workers, our clients and the communities in which we develop our activity.

This ongoing commitment to promoting an occupational health and safety culture is expressed in our Occupational Risk Prevention Policy, as a result of which we have published the "2024 Health and Safety Good Practices Report", which includes the main innovative actions in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.

In 2024, 27 Good Practices have been selected, divided into the following categories: Good practices in preventive culture, good execution practices and good practices concerning tools and equipment.

Good practices include: Emergency meeting points using QR codes (Northern Zone – Castile-Leon), demolition safety – water cannon and demolition curtain (Southern Zone), use of rungs on construction stairs (Nothern Zone – Asturias), wetting passageways (Central Zone), metal box for extending the ballast bed coupled to a lorry (Convensa – Galicia), ladders with work platform (Eastern Zone – Valencia – Murcia – Balearic Islands), workbench for small heights (Central Zone), scaffolding rolling system (Colombia, Toyo Tunnel), signage for emergency tunnel equipment, presence, environmental, alarm and communication control in tunnels, heating mats (Norway, Sotra Link).

The Joint Health and Safety Service of FCC Construction Division keeps on working for the continuous improvement of our activity, developing a preventive culture that sets us apart from other construction companies in the country and which, without any doubt, makes it possible to obtain accident rates well below the average values for the construction sector.
