FCC progresses the track laying for the Riyadh metro system

FCC continues to lay track for Riyadh Metro lines 4, 5 and 6. The major progress made in recent months with the civil works (viaducts, tunnels and overground sections) is enabling new work sites to be opened for track to be laid for three of the existing six lines in Riyadh by the FAST consortium, led by FCC.

FCC progresses the track laying for the Riyadh metro system

On 13 June, FCC set a new daily record by laying 476 m of plate track using three 3 paving machines and two Appitraks (automatic machine for laying track fixings). At the same time, track is being laid by manual methods for the two sidings.

FCC is applying its considerable experience and know-how in track-laying to complete this project successfully.
