The San Isidro metro station began operation on 15 August, the last of 14 stops on Line 1 of the Panama Metro to open its doors to the public.
This new section, which cost $211.6 million, extends the 15.8 km total stretch making up Line 1 of the Metro by 2.1 km. San Isidro, located northeast of the Panamanian capital, marks the final stop of the metro route which begins at the Albrook terminal.
The full route is made up of one partially underground station, 7 underground, and 6 over-ground.
