Maria Carrasco, CFO FCC Construcción has participated in the EY podcast ‘Un café con...’. The programme debated the similarity between mega-projects and more domestic projects, her professional career from banking and consultancy to arriving at FCC at a time of financial crisis, and the challenges she has faced, such as the creation of the management control department. They discussed the most important projects, such as the Riyadh metro and the work in Panama, and the current challenges of internationalisation. María Carrasco highlighted the evolution of the financial function towards prediction and the importance of data and sustainability. Finally, she offered valuable advice for young professionals, emphasising the importance of learning from everyone and never stop.
