Matinsa signs its II Equality Plan

Matinsa has signed its II Equality Plan with the aim of raising awareness, protecting and enhancing the individual rights of people, among which are the right to equal opportunities between women and men. By signing this plan, the company has opted for the protection of personal dignity by establishing healthy behavioral guidelines and eradicating those behaviors that may be considered illegitimate intrusions into personal privacy or that violate people's dignity.

Its first Equality Plan was signed in 2019, and with this second plan the commitment to equality between women and men continues. The approved Equality Plan thus constitutes an ordered set of measures that, really and effectively, will make it possible to achieve, in the global scope for which it has been designed, the objectives of equal treatment and opportunities between women and men and eliminate any hint of discrimination based on sex.

To this end, the Equality Plan contemplates and develops a series of measures and actions that will be applicable to: improve the presence of women in the functional levels in which they are underrepresented, continue with actions aimed at raising operational staff awareness about the need to report updates to their academic records, as well as reinforce training on equality. In addition, awareness-raising actions will be carried out to raise awareness of family care; Job interviews will be held for people who take voluntary leave in order to detect needs associated with talent retention.

Therefore, all of this will promote a corporate culture that permeates all areas of the company; ensuring access to employment under equal conditions between women and men; facilitating the access of women and men to all categories and departments; training and raising awareness of equal treatment and opportunities among the entire workforce; guaranteeing equal pay for jobs of equal value; facilitating the conciliation and co-responsibility of work, personal and family life; ensuring the use of inclusive language in internal and external communications; preventing sexual and gender-based harassment; ensure specific working conditions for women victims of gender violence; guarantee the inclusion of the gender perspective in the evaluation and prevention of occupational risks; convening specific team management training for all managers to exercise leadership based on equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion; Raise awareness of unconscious gender biases among all personnel involved in internal and external selection processes.

Without a doubt, Matinsa is a pioneering company in equality within the sector, and with the signing of this second equality plan, it positions itself as a responsible, sustainable and integrative company.
