Matinsa awarded the maintenance of the Saih by the Segura Hydrographical Confederation

On 21 June the General Water Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing, Food and the Environment awarded the Mursiya Maintenance JV, led by Matinsa, the contract for the “operation, maintenance and conservation of the SAIH, SAICA, ROEA, SAIH-POSTRASVASE and SICA systems of this Confederation.” The contract is for 24 months with a budget of 3,782,370.45 euros.

Matinsa awarded the maintenance of the Saih by the Segura Hydrographical Confederation

The contract involves the scheduled and non-scheduled activities relating to the operation, maintenance and conservation of the Confederation’s systems:

SAIH. Automatic hydrological information system.
ROEA. Official capacity stations network.
SAIH-POSTRASVASE. Tajo-Segura transfer information system.
SAICA. Automatic water quality information system.
SICA. Integrated usage control system.

As well as these systems, the contract also includes the maintenance of the telephone system, remote monitoring of reservoirs and control points in both ordinary situations and in special situations of extreme floods and droughts. Finally, it includes campaigns of direct capacities and the collection of meter data, all under the requirements of a health and safety plan.

To undertake the contract, it will be necessary to dedicate persons with specialised training as programmer, analyst and systems administrator as well as hydraulics, hydrology and the treatment and processing of water quality parameters.

Specific tasks will be carried out for the maintenance of civil works, instrumentation, electrical power and protection, electronics and electro-mechanics, communications, telecommunications, voice and computer and remote control systems.
