NOU MESTALLA receives a visit from the First Vice-President and Regional Minister for Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality of the Valencian Regional Government
NOU MESTALLA, a project carried out by FCC Construcción, has received a visit from the First Vice-President and Regional Minister for Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality of the Valencian Regional Government. The visit focused on how Nou Mestalla presents an opportunity to promote best preventive practices in the construction sector.
During the visit, which took place alongside the CEO of Valencia CF, Javier Solís, and representatives from the Valencian Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (INVASSAT), it was emphasised that Nou Mestalla, scheduled to open for the 2027–2028 season, the scale and uniqueness of the project make it an ideal setting for promoting best preventive practices and reinforcing a safety culture in the construction sector.
The visit forms part of the Comprehensive Assistance Programme for Prevention on Unique Construction Sites (AIPOS), an initiative developed by INVASSAT which aims to integrate occupational risk prevention into the day-to-day management of particularly complex construction projects, strengthen preventive controls and promote safer working environments.
The AIPOS programme is particularly relevant for large-scale projects such as the Nou Mestalla, where numerous companies and workers from different specialisms are involved. It seeks to promote effective preventive management, strengthen the monitoring of health and safety conditions on site, integrate prevention into the organisation of work, and help reduce the workplace accident rate to below the sector average.
During the tour of the site, technical managers outlined the measures implemented to ensure workers’ safety and the preventive monitoring carried out on site.
FCC Construcción is building one of Europe’s most important sports facilities, with a commitment to innovation and the development of best practices in occupational health and safety.
