On 20 February, FCC Construcción completed the raising and the joining together of the interior traction ring with the upper traction ring, forming the new roof of Atlético Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Once this milestone is completed, the membrane will be put into place, which comprises a steel structure weighing around 6,336 tonnes, tensioned with radial cables bound by a membrane that covers a surface area of 83,053 m2.

The modern roof is a unique element that stands out from all other European sports facilities designed in recent years.
