Smart Construction Manager: a new intelligent and autonomous system for construction control and management
As part of the Smart Construction Manager project, two visits were made to projects being carried out by FCC Construcción and BECSA. The main objective of these visits was to collect data for monitoring the project's validation tests.
The event brought together the consortium made up of FCC Construcción, BECSA, TPF INGENIERÍA, SAINT-GOBAIN PLACO, CYPE and SIGNEBLOCK, and staff from the CETIM and ITA technology centres and the UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE.
During the visits, the partners had the opportunity to collect data on real construction sites using the measuring devices developed in the project. This data, which is based on point clouds generated in different ways, is essential for identifying construction elements, reconstructing models and related actions, which represents a significant advance in the digitisation and monitoring of construction sites.
The main objective of the SMART CONSTRUCTION MANAGER project is to improve the control of construction management and the supply chain of materials by applying innovative digitalisation technologies to the construction sector. With these visits, the project continues to move forward, remaining at the forefront of construction digitalisation and promoting the use of new technologies that optimise time and improve the control of construction processes.
