Tranvía Murcia continues to obtain the best evaluation from its customers

Tranvía de Murcia continues to obtain the best assessment from its customers in the satisfaction survey carried out during the month of November 2021. A total of 604 surveys have been carried out, which represents a confidence level of 95%. Of the user surveys, 59.6% are students (UMU, UCAM, schools, institutes and regulated education centers), 26.6% are employed, and the rest are distributed among public employees ( 6.6%), pensioners, self-employed workers and other categories. 66.6% of those surveyed are residents of the city of Murcia, 24.5 are district residents and the rest come from other nearby municipalities.

99.2% of those surveyed say they are satisfied or very satisfied with the service provided by the Murcia Tram, with more than half of the sample indicating complete satisfaction. It should be noted that 19 of the 20 attributes consulted have outstanding scores. All the attributes obtain an average rating higher than 8 out of 10, so it is noteworthy that tram users rate all the attributes consulted in the survey very satisfactorily.

Among the best valued attributes are the contribution to improving sustainability, with an average score of 9.2 out of 10; followed by image of reviewers and staff and punctuality, with an average score of 9.1 points each. Next are the ability to solve problems, staff attention, accessibility to stops and driving style, with 9.0 points out of 10 all of them. The attribute that has increased its valuation the most is that collected by the information campaigns carried out this year (posters, advertising, website, social networks ...), increasing its score by 9 tenths compared to 2020.

Punctuality, essential in this survey, given the activity of Tranvía de Murcia, obtains a score of 9.1 points, increasing by one tenth the score obtained in 2020. Compliance with frequencies obtains a score of 9.0 out of 10, improving in 7 tenths the score achieved in 2020.

The survey reflects the important environmental contribution of the tram to the municipality, as it is a clean transport system that avoids the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, key for the establishment of low emission zones (LEZ) according to the Community's mandate European.

More than a third of those surveyed consider the expansion to the Barrio del Carmen / Train Station as the most urgent and necessary, and the one that would provide an improvement in the public service offered.

Most of the rest of the destinations chosen by the users of the tram, go through a first extension to El Carmen, so that they could be viable, since this destination would be the starting point for new routes, which would serve a large part of the population.

During 2022, Tranvía de Murcia will continue working to achieve greater customer satisfaction and to maintain the quality level of those attributes best valued by those surveyed.

Murcia tram continues to be the benchmark public transport for the citizens of the municipality, due to its sustainability, punctuality, efficiency, accessibility and comfort. This is demonstrated by the user recovery figures, with a number of monthly users very similar to those of 2019. Murcia tram should be the backbone of public transport in the city, being able to offer all citizens of the municipality and districts the same service .
