Alejandro Tuya, father and son, at Nuestra Casa Retirement Home
Alejandro Tuya García, Deputy General Manager of FCC Construction, and his son, Alejandro Tuya, participated in the Friday lecture series organised jointly by FCC Volunteers and the Esther Koplowitz Foundation at the Nuestra Casa Retirement Home.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed their musical presentation, entitled "Music down through the years".
Alejandro senior played the piano and the guitar and sang, while Alejandro junior played the keyboard, offering residents a selection of greatest hits spanning several decades.
Mr Tuya senior is a civil engineer and is currently Deputy General Director of FCC Construction. He has participated in some of FCC's most emblematic works during his 23 years with the company. He is also a concert pianist, schooled at the conservatory in his hometown of Valladolid.
His son Alejandro, a telecommunications engineer, is a manager at HP in London (from where he came to attend the event) and a concert pianist trained at the conservatory in Majadahonda (Madrid).
Their concert was such a success that the FCC Volunteer Programme and the Esther Koplowitz Foundation both expressed their desire to bring the event to the Nostra Casa retirement home in Fort Pienc, Barcelona.
The father and son duo were presented with the traditional gift for guests, a painting by children with Down Syndrome.
