FCC Ámbito has received an honourable mention as finalist in the IV Edition of the Asepeyo Awards for best prevention practices within the category of "risk control best practices" for its proposal entitled "Noise can be reduced". These awards aim to pay recognition to the companies associated with the insurance company that have stood out for their projects on risk prevention in the workplace throughout 2015.

Lydia Cormano, technical coordinator at FCC Ámbito; and Marta Agudo, coordinator of risk prevention in the workplace, were responsible for putting forward the candidature that included the technical measures implemented within the company to reduce noise in glass plants.

The project focuses on implementing preventive measures to eliminate risks associated with noise, beyond those related to sound effects (risks including hearing loss or occupational deafness and physiological risks, sleep disturbance or insomnia, communication, mental and psychomotor activities, etc.).

One of the main measures adopted was the installation of work cabins that are perfectly equipped to carry out activity in terms of health, safety and wellbeing. These air-conditioned cabins are generously sized to allow for ambitious movements, have windows to prevent the feeling of isolation and are also equipped with anti-fatigue mats.
