TV-watching tips for residents at the home in Collado Villalba
As part of the series of debates with guest speakers hosted by the Collado Villalba retirement home, FCC's General Manager of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, José Manuel Velasco, discussed television today.
José Manuel gave the residents a series of examples to help them distinguish between reality and fiction on TV. Some residents volunteered to participate in simulations to illustrate the speaker's point.
He completed his presentation by showing a selection of commercials, both classic (evoking nostalgia of decades past for the residents) and current.
This new initiative is one of the various activities that FCC volunteers are undertaking at the Nuestra Casa retirement home in Collado Villalba (Madrid), the goal of which is to provide companionship for residents.
FCC's corporate volunteer programme aims to involve employees in social projects, and is aligned with the goals of the Ester Koplowitz Foundation, which has been working intensively for many years to benefit those most in need and is funded solely by contributions from its founder, Esther Koplowitz.
