Speaking under the title "Supporting seniors", Fidalgo encouraged residents to make demands of society and themselves. The former trade union leader encouraged the attendees to "feel pride" in their status as seniors and in the experience and wisdom they have accumulated over time. He also encouraged them to express their opinions so as connect to the world and claim the good living conditions which they enjoy at Nuestra Casa.

The talk was followed by a discussion in which Fidalgo highlighted the example of Esther Koplowitz for her philanthropy and commitment to the most disadvantages segments of society, as well as her business track record and her concern for job creation. Attendees quizzed Fidalgo about the current economic situation and (logically) asked for his opinion on the future of the pension system and the broad lines of the reform that the Government is currently trying to implement with the participation of the social partners.

On 28 January, as part of the events to celebrate "Volunteer Day", FCC Volunteers will unveil their "FCC Volunteers" website, which will serve as a direct platform for publicising the programme's activities and sharing experiences.
