The Council of Ministers has approved, by Royal Decree, the decision to grant Esther Koplowitz the Gran Cruz award of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise.

The Government grants Esther Koplowitz the Gran Cruz award of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise

This award is granted to Spanish and foreign individuals, companies and organisations in recognition of outstanding work or services in the fields of education, science, culture, teaching and research in Spain or throughout the world.

The Government underlined that Esther Koplowitz, as President of the Foundation that bears her name, has made an extraordinary contribution in the fields of education and research, in addition to implementing important social projects in favour of the most disadvantaged members of society.
