ENISA re-appoints Gianluca D'Antonio to the Permanent Stakeholders' Group

Gianluca D'Antonio, head of Information Security and Technology Risks at FCC, has been re-appointed for a second term to the Permanent Stakeholders' Group (PSG), which advises the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA).

Through Mr D'Antonio, FCC is the only company in the sector with representation in the Agency, which seeks to promote a culture of cybersecurity throughout the EU.

Mr D'Antonio'sOpen new window initially joined the PSG in 2010. In addition to his position as head of the Information Security and Technology Risk Department at FCC, he is also Chairman of the Spanish Association for the Advancement of Information Security (ISMS Forum Spain)Open new window.

ENISA's PSG comprises 30 of the leading European experts in cybersecurity. The PSG directly advises the Agency's Executive Director on defining ENISA's strategy on cybersecurity in the European Union.

According to the Agency, the members are appointed " ‘ad personam’ on the basis of their experience, specific expertise and personal merits".

ENISA's Executive Director, Udo Helmbrecht, announced the appointment of new members, stating: "The information security of Europe needs more cooperation, dialogue and interaction with all the security stakeholders."

Members of the PSG have a two-and-a-half year mandate; accordingly, they will hold office from mid-2012 to 2015.
