FCC supports International Women's Day
In honour of International Women's Day, FCC has launched a new campaign today which is available in 13 languages and in all the countries where the Group operates. The commitment and cooperation of all of our employees around the world in very diverse cultures enables us to continue advancing in equality while promoting gender diversity in all areas of the Group.
FCC Group has worked tirelessly to promote equality. Since signing its first Equality Plan in 2008, the Group's various areas and companies have signed several additional plans, launched campaigns about equality and domestic violence, drafted a protocol to prevent mobbing and sexual harassment in the Group, and signed an agreement with the Spanish Health Ministry to combat domestic violence, reaffirming the company's commitment to equality and diversity.
To reinforce its actions in this area, FCC has drafted a specific equality and diversity policy, approved by the management committee, which was implemented by creating an Equality and Diversity Management Team in Spain comprising members from the parent company and the Group's businesses who are committed to extending these policies, programmes and actions in their business areas.
Today we want to emphasize the importance of working towards the day when equality is a basic feature of our society, not something we need to be reminded of. FCC promotes the necessary awareness-raising and educational initiatives to contribute to the prevention and eradication of all violations of this right by favouring access to jobs, training, and enhancing the position of women in our Group.
