FCC announces the 2016 Health and Safety Awards

FCC has presented the awards for the 3rd edition of its Health and Safety Awards in an event held at the corporate headquarters of Las Tablas, attended by the top leaders of the business and corporate areas of the Group.

 

FCC announces the 2016 Health and Safety Awards

FCC has as a permanent priority the health and safety of employees in the workplace and one of its main objectives is to strengthen the integration of preventive measures at all levels of the company.

This third edition has had the participation of more than 26 high quality projects and has once again aimed to reward the initiatives and actions carried out by the departments, teams, business areas and FCC employees who have contributed to the strengthening and dissemination of the preventive culture in the workplace.

The awards in the different areas were given as follows:

The Award in the category of Occupational Risk Prevention (technical measures): significant milestones and processes implemented that improve the control of occupational risk, belongs to FCC Environment for the project: The "Mobile Plant Pedestrian System (PWS)".

The Award in the category of Occupational Risk Prevention (strategic measures): entrepreneurial initiatives and projects of strategic focus that contribute to the progress of health and safety conditions, goes to the candidate presented by FCC Aqualia: the Preventive Culture Improvement Project.

The Award in the category of Health Promotion: recognition of innovative alternative for a healthier work environment, is a prize shared by two candidates and belongs to the candidates presented by the delegations of FCC Medio Ambiente Andalucia II, Andalucia II Health Delegation, and Aragon La Rioja, for the promotion of cardiovascular health and road safety (shared prize).
 
In regards to the Awards for personal trajectory in recognition of work promoting the values, habits and practices, the awards go to: Manuel Gonzalo Mateos Pavón, from FCC Construcción, manager of Panama Metro, Line 2, Section A; Javier Rubio Durán, Service Chief of FCC Aqualia Almería; Marta Costa, Ecodeal Industrial manager (FCC Ambito); and Pablo Fuentes Marciel - Avila Service Chief for FCC Medio Ambiente.
