FCC signs two agreements to raise awareness of trafficking in women and their entry into the labour market

The Environmental Services area of FCC signed two collaboration agreements with welcome, counselling and social inclusion organisations Adoratrices (Adorers) and Hermanas Oblatas (Oblate Sisters) in order to raise awareness for women who are experiencing social exclusion and/or trafficking in women and their entry into the labour market.

Both agreements were signed in the FCC headquarters in Las Tablas, Madrid, with representatives of both organisations present, along with Human Resources Management from the Business Area.

These agreements are for collaboration purposes between FCC and both organisations by means of employment contracts for the services provided in different Environment concessions throughout Spain. They aim to make the social and labour integration of women who are victims of human trafficking a reality, along with the collaboration required in order to raise awareness of this violent act.

The Esperanza (Hope) project by Adoratrices, which FCC, endorses, has been supporting and providing assistance to over 300 female victims of human trafficking for more than five years. Furthermore, it works closely with other organisations within the framework of the Spanish Network against Human Trafficking and the Global Alliance against Traffic in Women (GAATW).

The Hermanas Oblatas project “Tu Casa” (Your House) aims to offer a shared welcome space that protects the integrity of women and their children, gives them personal and social autonomy, and facilitates social and labour market integration.

By signing these agreements, FCC joins the movement against international human trafficking, which coincides with the United Nations 'World Day' to raise awareness of this problem, while also strengthening, through its Environment area, its commitment to the communities it serves.
