FCC Industrial will rehabilitate the electricity distribution networks in Dominican Republic
FCC Industrial has been awarded the contract for the rehabilitation of electrical distribution networks and improvement of measurement systems for public electricity company Dominican Corporation of State Electrical Companies (CDEEE) in Dominican Republic
The CDEEE made last December an international competition in which the supply and installation of equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of the electricity network in different areas of the island was offered. FCC Industrial presents the best technical and financial offer in several lots. The total contract is worth 16, 1 million euros with an execution period of 12 months.
The scope of the contract includes the modernization of measurement systems power consumption, thereby facilitating the regularization of customers and / or users. It also includes the rehabilitation of networks of medium voltage and low voltage, and the installation of electrical distribution transformers and normalization of supplies.
With this infrastructure, FCC Industrial enables an improvement in the capacity of electricity supply to the local population, reducing the number of failures. In addition, this contract allows for improvement of public safety by installing public lighting in areas that currently is nonexistent. The integration of the communities to be part of the project will be provided through the participation and representation of community organizations and users in general work area
