FCC Medio Ambiente participates in the closure of the professional advice programme organised by the Government of Catalonia within the DUAL programme
FCC was represented by Sandra Moragón Casariego, Head of the Production Department in the company’s Barcelona Capital and Balearic Islands branch, who gave the speech, "Building the Future Together" in which presented her vision on the type of professionalised orientation that training centres must give to students. She said that the company also requires the high added value solutions they can provide from their services portfolio. During the presentation, she highlighted the opportunities that FCC gives to young women studying an industrial training course in areas where the company works.
The training programme given from FCC Medio Ambiente enhances the attendance of students to power production and distribution systems in the company’s buildings and facilities, as well as providing direct practice in preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
For more than 10 years, FCC Medio Ambiente’s Barcelona branch has maintained various collaboration agreements with professional schools to help the integration of students into the employment world. The Clot Professional Technical School has awarded FCC Medio Ambiente a certificate of recognition as a collaborating company for the joint implementation of a new DUAL professional training model. Under this programme, an average of six students a year have passed through the company, the most popular specialities being for electricians and mechanics.
The purpose of these programmes is to support the professional training centres in the management of the professional guidance and advice service for professional training students, to help adults interested in obtaining professional training qualifications and institutes and companies to provide solutions for improving professional qualifications, the employability of persons and the competitiveness of companies.
The act was attended by more than 150 professionals from the education sector throughout Catalonia and served to summarise the course just ended and the path taken.
