FCC Environment participates in the Diversity Management, Social Work and Business Ethics seminars in Zaragoza
The opening conference was delivered by Luis Suárez Zarcos, Human Resources Director of FCC Medio Ambiente, who emphasised the value of business ethics. “When a company or its managers do not behave ethically, this affects the balance sheet”, he stated. Neglect of this concept, he warned, or “moral bankruptcy,” could even lead to the bankruptcy of the company, as occurred with Enron. Also taking part in the seminar were the Rector of the University of Zaragoza, José Antonio Mayoral, the Director of INAEM, Ana Vázquez, the Director of Equality and Families, Teresa Sevillano, and the Dean of Social and Employment Sciences, Ruth Vallejo, among others.
The purpose of this seminar was to highlight the fundamental role of social work in the company and its projection in the Human Resources and Occupational Risks Prevention department, as well as to encourage social entrepreneurship as a strategy and opportunity for social work.
