FCC takes part in the Prevent Foundation grants program and presentation ceremony
Fundación Prevent (Prevent Foundation) held its VIII grant presentation ceremony to award researchers, university students and sportspersons with any type of disability.
During the ceremony, grants were awarded to research projects in Risk Prevention in the Workplace; to sport; for educational purposes to continue university studies; and to young entrepreneurs with disabilities and with high potential for development, involved in the first edition of the Entrepreneur Workshop program (Aula de Emprendedores): Learn and Launch (Aprende y Aprende), an initiative with which FCC has collaborated.
It is a training and mentoring program aimed at entrepreneurs for the implementation of a business project. The program also has backing from ESADE and the selfless participation from benchmark private companies in their activity sectors, like in the case of FCC, since among the Group's Corporate Responsibilities aims, it encourages equal opportunities and does not allow any type of discrimination in the hiring process.
On behalf of FCC, the program has the collaboration of Ana Villacañas, General Manager of Organisation, who, as specialised mentor, accompanied Enrique Parellada during the training and exhibition of his business initiative 'Flypro'; a quality and processes audit business for companies that are looking to improve the handling of airline companies.
FCC also provided speakers for this innovative initiative to give workshops and conferences, additional activities to the core academic program of ESADE, with the aim of informing the students of the reality of the labour market, contributing their knowledge and experience in specific business areas so that they can apply them to the development of their Business Plan. On this occasion, the presentations were given by Cristina Rodriguez, Corporate Director of People Development at FCC; and Zulema Mateos, Head of Talent Management.
With this initiative, ESADE and Prevent Foundation aim to provide talented and enthusiastic people who are prepared to drive change, with an opportunity to take a qualitative leap toward the realisation of their project, combining rigorous training with the contribution of the experience and mentoring of managers in order to address doubts that may arise in the training process and execution or advancement of the business.
