FCC joins the Integra Foundation's “Por una segunda oportunidad” (Second Opportunity) campaign
At FCC, and in line with our commitment to socially responsible employment and the inclusion into the workforce of people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion, we want to share the Integra Foundation's "Second Opportunity" campaign, which was conceived to provide greater visibility to the foundation's work in affording support to people affected by social exclusion and the disabled, helping them take up the reins of their lives through employability initiatives.
The campaign contains four videos starring real people who have reintegrated into society. In these videos, a former convict, a victim of gender-based violence, a homeless person, and a disabled person listen to their stories for the first time as told by the people who are closest to them. In all these cases, family members, friends and companions talk about how having a decent job has helped them get through difficult situations and recover their independence and self-esteem.
FCC presently has a collaboration agreement with the Integra Foundation for the training and job integration of people at risk of social exclusion. With the maximum involvement of the group and all areas, the heads of Human Resources and Equality have been working continuously to integrate them into the labour market and are engaging the causes that concern communities where the Citizen Services Group operates. The beneficiaries of these efforts include women who have been victims of gender-based violence, individuals with disabilities, women undergoing situations of social exclusion and/or socially disadvantaged women, children, young adults and adults.
Through its equality and diversity policy, FCC also promotes and fosters actions designed to encourage equality and implements labour practices to ensure that no employee is unfairly treated for having different abilities or for any other unjustified reason unrelated to professional skills, knowledge and job performance.
