The FCC Medio Ambiente branch in Aragón, Rioja and Soria y Plena Inclusión Aragón sign a collaboration agreement

The FCC Medio Ambiente branch in Aragón, Rioja and Soria in Zaragoza has signed a collaboration agreement with the non-profit organisation Plena Inclusión Aragón that covers most of the organisations working with and for the mentally handicapped and their families. The agreement is to undertake actions for the inclusion of the mentally handicapped, demonstrating and giving value to their capabilities through various initiatives.

This framework agreement was signed by Joaquín Jiménez López de Oñate, Director of the FCC Medio Ambiente Branch, and Santiago Villanueva Ginés, President of Plena Inclusión Aragón.

Within this framework, FCC undertakes to employ mentally handicapped persons through the Plena Inclusión Aragón employment service, consider offers of the services delivered by the special employment centres and participate in awareness acts. Plena Inclusión Aragón will organise mental disability training and awareness seminars, accompany mentally handicapped persons employed by FCC and collaborate in all those of the company’s activities according to the mission.

The main objectives include collaboration in the actions fulfilled by FCC during the year to the benefit of society and to generate new initiatives and projects to be  carried out by the signees in order to improving the quality of life and equality of opportunities for the mentally handicapped and their families, and for  their development; to support the work of Plena Inclusión Aragón in favour of the mentally handicapped by promoting the social inclusion through offers for contracting the services from its organisations’ special employment centres, and favouring the projection of FCC’s social commitment to this group in the framework of the management of its reputation and social responsibility as a leading company in the provision of public services such as street cleaning, waste collection, cleaning and conservation of parks and gardens and maintenance of sewerage systems, among others.
