The plant, financed and managed by FCC Environmental Services, the American subsidiary of FCC Group specialising in environmental services, was chosen by the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) as the Best Recycling Facility of 2017 in North America.

This award is a recognition of the recycling centre which has shown its leadership in key indicators such as innovation, the quantity of materials collected and/or processed, the types of materials recovered, the improvements in the place and the sustainability measures adopted.
