Lola Alvarez, Managing Director of Efe Agency, participated in the Friday lecture series at Nuestra Casa retirement home on 28 May. The series is organised by FCC's Volunteer Programme and is part of the Group's commitment to social responsibility in cooperation with the Esther Koplowitz Foundation, which built the home in Collado Villalba.

Lola Alvarez, who was introduced by José Manuel Velasco, General Director of Communication and Corporate Responsibility at FCC, quickly formed a bond with residents thanks to her spontaneous, easygoing personality. Moreover, she exuded passion for communication and exhibited extensive knowledge about the media, including television, radio, internet and the written press.

Alvarez made a spirited defence of quality journalism committed to telling the truth, while also discussing professional hazards, in particular encroachment by non-professionals and their poor quality product. She received a lengthy round of applause from the many attendees. Alvarez met with a number of residents who wanted to thank her personally, and toured the home with Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, who also attended the event.
