FCC Legal Services hold their first professional Workshops

FCC Legal Services held their first professional Workshops on 18 and 19 February with the aim of unveiling a current vision of the company, the commitments of the Legal Services and the new organisational structure. In addition, over the course of the two days, experiences and motivation skills were shared and addressed to all professionals who are part of this team.
 

FCC Legal Services hold their first professional Workshops

Felipe Bernabé García, Secretary General of FCC, was responsible for inaugurating the Workshops. During his presentation he spoke about the transformation of the Group and encouraged excitement, motivation and effort in order to gain focus once more on business and to create value. Afterwards, José Cerro, Managing Director of the FCC Legal Advice Department, explained from his own perspective how the legal function of a multinational company should operate, and how an international lawyer should be.

 Additionally, he placed an emphasis on supporting business, exchanging knowledge, and encouraging initiative, imagination, honesty and sense of humour. To conclude he explained more about the new organisation of the FCC Legal Services.

Luis Galindo, Managing Partner of Galindo & Partners, closed the first day of these workshops with the talk entitled "Excitement marks difference" (La ilusión marca la diferencia), and moved attendees with his reflection on excitement, optimism and hope.

The following workshop took place in the Headquarters in Las Tablas with a talk entitled "Comments on the Capital Company Act", delivered by Alberto Alonso and Guillermo Guerra, partners of Baker & McKenzie. After a short coffee break, Federico Briano, partner of Linklaters, focused on the issuance processes with leaflets. And to draw a close to the round of talks. Juan Fernández-Armesto and David Arias, both experts in arbitration, concluded proceedings with an interesting debate.

Finally, Juan Béjar, Vice-Chairman and CEO of FCC, gave a short presentation on the evolution of the Citizen Services Group in recent years and the transformation carried out in that time. For the pinnacle he described "the new FCC we are building" with an emphasis on the new equity and financial situation, the vectors of development in different businesses, the business culture and the historical values of the Group, as well as the levers of transformation to tackle the future.
