Appointments in FCC Medio Ambiente
On 7 November, the Board of Directors, chaired by Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, made the following appointments in FCC Medio Ambiente following a favourable report from the Appointments and Remuneration Committee:
- JORDI PAYET PÉREZ, General Manager. He replaces Agustín García Gila, who was recently appointed Chairman of FCC Medio Ambiente. Payet García obtained his industrial engineering degree from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) and completed the Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School. His professional career began in 1980 at IFAC, an installations company, and he joined FCC's Studies and Projects Department in the Eastern Andalusia Office one year later. In 1983, he was appointed Head of Production for Sewers and Industrial Cleaning Services in Barcelona, and later Medio Ambiente's Tarragona-Lleida Delegate. In 1988, he became Director of Medio Ambiente's Levante I Office, and in 1996 he was appointed to his current position, Director of Medio Ambiente Zone I, with six field offices reporting to him.
- PABLO MARTÍN ZAMORA, Director of Zone I, in place of Jordi Payet. He graduated in industrial engineering degree from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) and obtained an MBA from ESADE business school. Martín Zamora began his career in 1974 as a lab engineer with an electronic communications company. He joined Agromán in 1975, where he was Building Site Manager until 1982. He joined FCC in 1983, since which time he has held several posts, including Head of Services in Barcelona, Head of Production, and Director of the Barcelona City and Balearic Islands Office, a post he currently holds.
- FRANCISCO JAVIER MARTÍN GARRIGA, director de la Delegación Barcelona Capital y Baleares. Sustituye a Pablo Martín Zamora. Ingeniero Industrial. Martín Garriga se incorporó a FCC en 1989 como titulado superior en el Departamento de Producción Saneamiento Urbano. En 1993 es nombrado gerente de Musersa, empresa mixta con el Ayuntamiento de Girona, y en 1996, director de Producción de Limpieza Pública y recogida de residuos en Barcelona, puesto que ejercía en la actualidad.
- JUAN RICOTE GARBAJOSA, CFO of FCC Medio Ambiente. He succeeds Alberto Alcañiz in the Environmental Services Area. Ricote Garbajosa holds a degree in Economics and Business from the Technical University of Madrid. He began his career as an accounting and tax advisor in 1987. One year later, he became Head of Finance and Administration at ALGEFO. In 1990 he joined FCC Medio Ambiente, where he has held several posts, first as Head of Accounting for the Urban Environment Division, and later as Head of Balance Sheet Verification and Integration. In 1994, Ricote Garbajosa was appointed to his current position, Head of Administration for Medio Ambiente Spain.
- LUIS SUAREZ ZARCOS, Head of Human Resources. This is a new position, created in the context of the new organisation model. Suárez Zarcos has a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. His professional career commenced in 1990 as a labour lawyer for Empresa Nacional Santa Bárbara de Industrias Militares. In 1991, he joined FCC as Head of the Labour Relations Department, a position he currently holds.
