The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Jóse Manuel García Margallo, inaugurated the exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of the EFE press agency at Las Atarazanas cultural centre in Veracruz. FCC is sponsoring this travelling exhibition as it visits the main cities in Latin America. The opening event, held on Monday, 8 December, was attended by the Spanish Minister, the chairman of Agencia EFE, José Antonio Vera, and José Manuel Velasco, representing FCC. In addition to Agencia EFE's look back on the history of Spain and the major events taking place around the world during the last 75 years, FCC has contributed with an exhibit of 25 emblematic infrastructures in Latin America, many of which bear the mark of the Citizen Services Group.

In his remarks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the recent investment made by the Slim family in FCC as an example of economic integration. In turn, FCC's General Manager of Communication pointed out the value of infrastructures as a leverage for growth, competitiveness and regional integration for Latin America. Finally, EFE's chairman thanked FCC for its commitment to information and for accompanying them on the 75th anniversary of the first press agency in Spanish.
