Recognition of FCC Environment employees in Barcelona for their performance, effort and cleaning work in the area affected by the attack

In response to the terrorist attack perpetrated on the Ramblas in Barcelona last week, Janet Sanz Cid, the city councillor for Ecology, Urbanism and Mobility, visited FCC Environment´s Parque de Primavera workplace last Sunday, to express her appreciation of the employees who were working in the area affected by the attack on the day of the events.

The councillor was accompanied by the Environment and Urban Services Manager, Jordi Ribas, and Ecology Commissioner, Frederic Ximeno. This machinery park is the location of the company´s operational headquarters and from here the cleaning and the waste collection in the Ciutat Vella district is carried out.

During the event, she thanked FCC employees for their on the spot support for the victims, and for their commendable work in the restoration of cleanliness after the damages.

She also acknowledged their work and daily efforts to maintain the city in the best possible state. Similarly, she was particularly interested in the three FCC employees who were doing their respective cleaning duties and were directly involved with the incident:  Miguel Martín Carmona, Aroa Valero Montmany and Verónica Brio Carqueijada. They have been offered the necessary support and full co-operation of FCC´s medical services.
